Data loss is something that is of huge concern to organizations. It can happen at any time and in any form. As ransomware incidents and data breaches make daily headlines, data protection should be at the top of the mind for today’s businesses; especially, when it comes to product documentation or sensitive customer information. Without proper backup/restore mechanisms in place, it gets difficult for the content administrators to recover any lost content.
Document360 has built-in support for two types of backups — scheduled (automatic) backups and manual (user triggered) backups. The backup process will backup the Settings, Landing Page, Documentation and the Entire Project contents. Scheduled backups will happen everyday at 00:00 UTC.
Users can choose to restore their documentation from the backup when necessary. Say, one of the team member accidentally deleted a category or deleted an important article from the documentation. In this case, Document360 provides the option for users to restore only the documentation from the saved backup. Similarly, users can restore the Settings/Landing Page configurations or choose to restore the entire documentation.
